Characters

The frogs, Jupiter

Main points of the story

This story is about some frogs who wanted someone to rule over them because they were bored. They asked Jupiter, the king of the gods, for a king. Jupiter gave them a big log to be their king, but it didn't really do anything. Then, Jupiter sent them a crane to be their king, and the crane started eating the frogs. The frogs realized they had made a mistake and asked Jupiter to take the crane away. Jupiter told them they had only themselves to blame for their troubles because they asked for a king. The story teaches us that sometimes the things we think we want can turn out to be bad for us.
